Prof. Qing Deng is a Professor of Cell & Molecular Biology and Immunology at Purdue University. Her laboratory advances neutrophil biology to engineer revolutionary, targeted therapies. Utilizing zebrafish models validated with human neutrophils, Dr. Deng’s research uncovers novel genetic and signaling mechanisms governing white blood cell migration and activation in chronic conditions like cancer, diabetes, and neurodegeneration. In collaboration with the Bao lab, her team pioneers cutting-edge, genetically engineered neutrophil products derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) for adoptive transfer therapies against solid tumors, which are currently in the commercialization pipeline.
