Prof. Jason A. Hanna

Prof. Jason A. Hanna is an Associate Professor of Cell & Molecular Biology at Purdue University, holding a Ph.D. from Yale University and post-doctoral training from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. His cutting-edge research focuses on decoding the genetic drivers and molecular mechanisms of angiosarcomas—aggressive, understudied vascular cancers. Dr. Hanna’s lab pioneered findings showing that DICER1 and microRNAs function as vital tumor suppressors. Utilizing advanced in vivo and cell line genetic models, his team maps tumor initiation, progression, and metastasis to design and evaluate target-specific precision therapeutics.
